Dr. Nastaran Foyouzi is a nationally recognized fertility specialist with an extraordinary combination of expertise in reproductive endocrinology and medical genetics. As the founder and Medical Director of the Southern California Fertility Center (SCFC), she leads our practice with both deep scientific knowledge and genuine compassion.
Bringing Exceptional Expertise
Dr. Foyouzi is triple board-certified—by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)—a rare achievement in the United States. Her training spans top institutions, including an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University, residency at Washington University in St. Louis, fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and a further fellowship in Medical Genetics at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Because of this dual expertise, Dr. Foyouzi is equipped to guide patients through even the most complex fertility challenges—especially those involving genetic conditions, recurrent pregnancy loss, or preimplantation genetic testing.

She has authored and co-authored articles in leading journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. She has presented at national conferences including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI), and the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Foyouzi also serves as a peer reviewer for top journals and is a committee member of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) position statement on preimplantation genetic testing and polygenic risk screening.
